The Cheerful Types Are The Resilient Ones

Here’s a poem about the people who don’t let negativity hold them down:

Surely, the joyous mind will not come across any impediments of the heart

With their optimistic outlook and wide smiles they play their part

In making other people a little more content

Some us has have more than a small dent

In the prism that contains our happiness

We are hurt and we feel downgraded by our own unhappiness

The cheerful types are the resilient ones

Let’s try to be like them

Some of us can’t produce a lot of positive energy

It’s some kind of internal deficiency

We know the cause of it

But it’s time to produce cheer more efficiently

It’s too bad that memories of misfortunes and perceived injustices

Don’t just bounce off

They stick around like a consistent cough

The cheerful types are the resilient ones

Let’s try to be like them

The convivial spirits don’t know how to hold on

To wretched and poisonous thoughts or thoughts

Their memory is not muddled up

Testimonies of the negative sort, that’s not how they connect their dots

Pain,  unfair treatment, and sorrow they have not recollection of it

And if they remember it they don’t get into a fit

The cheerful types are the resilient ones

Let’s try to be like them

Negativity sticks to our heads like glue

If we knew

How to get rid of it it it wouldn’t come undone

Even if we tried to have a lot of fun

We are carrying so much mental baggage

It will take a long time for us to get rid of all the garbage

The cheerful types are the resilient ones

Let’s try to be like them

Time to  clear out our blocker, for our own sakes

Let’s let happiness swim not sink in the lakes

And know that the cheerful ones are the resilient ones

Let’s try to be like them
